MAZE RUNNER
Based on the popular book “Maze Runners”, we used protractors, T-squares and rulers to develop the maze with tape on foam board.  The next step was to code the Sphero with the appropriate measurements of length and angles to run the maze.

HP Reveal is an amazing application that allows a painting (or any image) to trigger a web based video that can be accessed on your personal device. Used by many museums as tour guides, our students have created their own videos with stories about their paintings. These videos are triggered by pointing the camera of a device at the painting.

These photos show students using the art room iPads to view the video they created.

Download the HP Reveal app to your device and you can see the video our incredibly talented 4th grade students created by pointing your device camera at the image below -- on this screen! You will be amazed at the video AND by HP Reveal!

LEARN MORE
QuiverVision is another app we use in the classroom. We bring our paintings to 3D life
This photo shows a student using the QuiverVision app on the art room iPad as we participate in a global celebration of creativity.

Quiver Vision is another Augmented Reality App. We use it in the classroom to celebrate International Dot Day on September 15.

Use the Quiver App to watch the Dot come alive!

Dot Day began with the book,  The Dot, by Peter H. Reynolds.
The author follows us on Twitter and is quick with responses when I tag him with our Dot Day activities.

STOP MOTION VIDEO

Using the Stop Motion app, the students wrote a story, created backdrops from photos downloaded from the internet then created characters from Legos or other toys.  The characters or props were moved for each frame, creating the motion.  There were 100  photos for each 10 second segment.  Here are two of their videos:
